How to choose serving style for your Wedding reception

The food at your wedding is one of the most important aspects of the event. It’s actually what most guests remember from weddings, so of course you want it to be memorable! Flame BBQ understand the importance of how food is being served at your Wedding reception.  And we know it can be also confusing.  As bride and groom you have to choose not only your menu,  but also serving style. Let us help you to choose perfect serving style for Your Wedding.

 

Plated dinner

A plated,  sit-down meal is most traditional serving style. Each guest is served individually plated meal.  You can make it more casual with half plated dish and self serving side,  or more formal with silver service.

Buffet

A long table set up with food stations where guests can either serve themselves or be served by servers. Buffet will offer more variety of choices and satisfy all guests. Buffet serving is most casual serving style.

Food stations

Food is spread out among different stations through reception space. The portions served at each station are typically smaller, usually require two to three bites to finish. Your guest will be excited from playful style of serving.

 

Sharing boards -  Family style

Food is placed on table in serving platters or sharing boards for guests to serve themselves. You can also skip decorative centrepieces as food placed in the middle of the table provides effective display. 

 

Cocktail style

One or two bite size canapé is served by waiting staff to your guests.  This style doesn't require dinner tables or chair for each guest. There is also variety of choices and mix of hot and cold food.  Of course you can serve mini desserts.
